Our Humanely Crafted Scholarship Program tries to balance the vulnerability with the merit. We are aware of the fact that designing a scholarship program that targets multiple groups and distributes fee reductions requires careful consideration to ensure fairness and effectiveness.

And we devised one.

Scholarship Program Overview

Objective: To provide fee reductions for women and individuals from marginalized communities, including Person Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM), SC, ST, SC-Arunthathiyar, Denotified Communities, MBC, Ex-Servicemen, and Widows. The fee reduction will range from 10% to 40% based on specific criteria. An individual can avail scholarship under any one of the criteria alone.

1. Eligibility Criteria
  1. General Eligibility:

    • Must provide the supporting documents to prove their claim to the respective eligibility criteria category.

    • Must take the Career Officer Scholarship Test - in Academy classroom or Online.

    • Meet specific group criteria as outlined below.

  2. Target Groups (Each of the following category, will be the same as defined by TNPSC for its recruitment purpose)

    • Person Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM)

    • Physically Challenged

    • Scheduled Caste (SC)

    • SC - Arunthathiyar (SCA)

    • Scheduled Tribe (ST)

    • Denotified Community

    • Most Backward Classe (MBC)

    • Backward Class (BC)

    • Backward Class (Muslim) [BC (M)]

    • Most Backward Class / Denotified Communities (MBC / DC)

    • Woman

    • Ex-Servicemen

    • Destitute Widow

2. Fee Reduction Tiers

The fee reduction percentage will be allocated based on the following tiers, considering Scholarship Test performance and specific criteria of each target group.

  1. Person Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM):

    • Fee Reduction: 10% to 20%

  2. Women:

    • Fee Reduction: 10% to 20%

  3. SC, ST, SC-Arunthathiyar, Denotified Communities:

    • Fee Reduction: 20% to 30%

  4. MBC, Most Backward Class / Denotified Communities (MBC / DC):

    • Fee Reduction: 15% to 25%

  5. BC, BC (M):

    • Fee Reduction: 10% to 20%

  6. Ex-Servicemen:

    • Fee Reduction: 30% to 40%

  7. Destitute Widows:

    • Fee Reduction: 30% to 40%

3. Application Process
  1. Application Form:

    • Include personal details, educational background, and a declaration.

    • Attach supporting documents (proof of community status, service record for Ex-Servicemen, etc.).

  2. Scholarship Test:

    • Candidate can take the Test either Online or at directly at the Academy premises on the working hours.

    • Performance in the Scholarship Test will enable the candidate to claim the upper limit in the scholarship reduction range.

  3. Supporting Documents:

    • As determined by TNPSC

4. Distribution of Funds
  1. Disbursement:

    • Fee reductions are applied directly to our academy's fee structure.
